The Course
|
The present course was re designed by renowned golf course architect Donald Steel in 1997.
The course was built to the highest specifications and is extremely well designed in a spacious parkland setting. Most importantly, it is an excellent test of golf which can be enjoyed by golfers of all skill levels.
As well as some demanding par threes, there are tough par fours, often influenced by swirling winds, and long challenging par fives. All 18 greens produce a fast pace and offer a wealth of subtle borrows. The rough can be punishing so care should be taken not to stray off line.
One of the main attributes of the course is that there are no weak holes in the layout which means that the overall 18 form a very solid and enjoyable test of golf.
