On Monday 2nd October several ladies arrived early in the morning to help the green staff plant 5,000 purple crocus corms (bulbs)
These were donated by Pat Davoodbhoy, The Lady President, to support the historic progress towards a Polio Free World. Just 10 cases of wild polio virus worldwide this year.
The ladies worked very hard with the green staff to complete the planting in less than an hour.
We look forward to a carpet of purple crocuses in February, providing the squirrels don’t get them first.
