Course open.

The Doxfords 2017 at R&CP GC

On Thursday 28th September Rochester & Cobham hosted the Doxford Horses trophies, run by KCLGA,  a 27-hole competition with 18 holes played in the morning and 9 in the afternoon.

The weather was stunning, and a truly beautiful autumn day helped to showcase the course and the clubhouse with many comments received on along the lines of: ‘this is the best course I have played this year – it is in fantastic condition’.

In her speech, Elaine Tappin, on behalf of the Kent Ladies Committee thanked Rochester & Cobham for all their hard work in helping to put this competition together. She also thanked Jan Fitzgerald our Lady Vice Captain for her help in starting ladies off both in the morning and afternoon, and the kitchen for a lovely meal, bar staff and the office.

The Salvers (a combination of morning and afternoon scores) were won by two ladies from Sundridge Park, and the Doxford Horses (the morning only score) won by two ladies from Chart Hills, with Maria Dolphin and Debbie Hagan from R&CP GC coming in 3rd.  The afternoon prizes were won by ladies from Poultwood and Littlestone.

Mandy Ellis, our Lady captain played with Pat Davoodbhoy and very narrowly missed out, but reported a great day playing with two other R&C members Joan Hopley and Brenda Aherne.  Sue Batchelor and Sally Ferrers also played.

Well done to all those ladies who took part.
