Fresh off the back of their win in the Kent School’s Team Championship at Tenterden, Gravesend Grammar School travelled to Woodhall Spa earlier in the week for the England School’s Team Championship.  Each school team was represented by three golfers with Gravesend Grammar School including two of our own junior members, Ollie Lewis-Perkins and Lucas Dennison. The third golfer in the team was Jack Dalley from Mid-Kent.

Thirty five teams took part in the competition from around the country, with each team having already won their respective County Championship. Each team score was based on the two best Stableford scores out of the three with Gravesend scoring 37 points from Ollie and 36 points from Lucas. This put Gravesend Grammar School in a fantastic second position late in the day which they went on to hold after the last few scores came in.

The Runners-up position was the best ever finish by a Kent School since the competition began. Well done boys!!
